Look who we saw today...

Yup... the big man. We're pretty sure this one's the REAL deal.
Jack asked for a SOCK MONKEY this year and Porter...well...
Porter just spoke his Chinese BLAH BLAH to Santa...
I'm sure St Nick will know exactly what he meant.

Shower for Mandy.

This weekend my sister, Jenny and my mom and I threw a shower for our sister, Mandy. She is expecting a little girl sometime within the next 3 weeks. And since the only girl cousin lives hundreds of miles away... it's kinda a big deal. Jenny and I had so much fun picking out pink, frilly, fluffy things to sew onto onesies headbands and burp cloths. We had a pretty good turn-out, too, even though the weather was horrible.

Look how cute Mandy is... We are so excited for your little baby, Mandy! Hope she comes soon.

Fresh from Chicago...

I've been neglecting the blog, my email and my friends... MARSHIE WAS HERE! My cute brother and his beautiful wife came into town from Chicago. We love having them here... lots of Wii, late nights watching TV, tough workouts, pics in 'Milwaukee' and tons of laughter...plus Marshal makes a wonderful nanny!
Here are a few pictures...We love you, Marshal and Lindsey... thanks for the FUN!

Thanksgiving Time...

Here are a few pictures from THANKSGIVING...
We spent Thanksgiving Day up at the cabin with tons of food...mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoes, rolls, peas, stuffing, waldorf salad, pie, shopska salad and even an organic turkey. (I'm sure I'm forgetting something!) Yummm.
We had such a fun time... I love thanksgiving and I love having it with my family. Thanks Dad, Mom, Frank, Jen, James, Ben, Drew, Joey, Mandy, Richard, Spence, Jack and Porter... I am thankful for YOU.

Quote of the week...

To which I said, "you can shove it in your ear!"
I was pretty ticked until I realized he is only 5 and probably doesn't know what 'respect' means, or that he was being very DIS-respectful by asking that.

Thankful for day 29...

We were at Costco the other day, by the meat. Jack saw the guy behind the glass and he asked me what that guy was making. I told him, "He's called a butcher... he cuts up animals so that we can cook them and eat them." Jack said, "Does he cut up COWS?!" ... I told him yes. "Does he cut up DOGS?!" I was a little surprised by this and I told him no... not in this country.
It was during that conversation that I realized how thankful for BUTCHERS I am.
There's no way I'd EVER hack up an animal on my kitchen table and then EAT it!

Jack and Andrew are always doing something fun at preschool.
