Simply Amazing!

Allison and her group, the Sprocket Rockets, survived the race. They rode through hail, rain, wind, I-15, had critters chasing them at night, 108 degree heat, saw the Big Rock Candy Mountain, and even met a few locals. The organizers did a pretty good job with everything, except they had some trouble figuring out distances. Allison was suppose to ride about 60 miles total, and she ended up riding about 81. Through all the adversity, they finished the race. Sure there were a few flat tires, Allison riding in a lightning storm and getting blown over. (If she had any weight on her that probably wouldn't have happened.) Allison was riding the last leg, which they had 16 miles longer then it was suppose to be, she hit the wall. Her team got her to stop for a minute, and they could realize that she was getting really dehydrated. She sat in the car for a couple of minutes and got some food and water. I heard that she ate about 10 fruit leathers in about a minute. Well the rest of the girls and Jeff got out their bikes and escorted Allison in to the finish line. It was pretty emotional for everyone, and an experience that I will never forget. Allison is truely my hero, and I hope to someday be like her.

Lance Armstrong?

Months ago Allison agreed to ride with a group of friends from Salt lake to Vegas at the end of July. It's called Saints to Sinners. Since there really isn't many pictures of her on here I thought that I would post some of her training photos. (If you have Eye of the Tiger on your computer, now would be a good time to start playing it.)

Good Luck! Love you hot stuff!

There will be more to come.....

4 years old!!

4 years ago TODAY a sweet little angel entered our lives... our Porter BEAR was born.Porter makes us laugh EVERY day with sayings like "Hello, gorgeous!", "that's interesting" and "Will you download with me?" Chocolate milk, cookies, brownies and candy are what he loves most and he is ALWAYS hungry. Porter is a smart kid and LOVES to read books and color. He'll sing and dance for you and even do some YOGA. He is really good at snuggling and cuddling and tickling and teasing. His laugh is contageous and his smile melts hearts. There has never been a sweeter kid.
Porter, I love you with all my heart... I'm so glad I have you. Love you, Bear!

Quote of the Week...

I've got to give credit to my mom for this one... she's the one that told me this. A week or two ago, Disco was asking Mimi if she'd seen some movie... I think it was ICE AGE 3 or something. Well, Mimi couldn't remember so she appologized to him.
Then he said...
I LOVE that! I'm never going to tell him he means MEMORIES...
I like REMEMBERMEs way better!
Thanks, Mimi!!

A couple days ago... at 6 AM... Bear came into my room and woke me up. He kept saying he wanted breakfast... blah blah blah...IT'S 6 AM! I told him he'd have to wait.
Then he pulled out...
Ok... I'll give you anything you want, then. :)
