We laughed so hard.

Then at 8, I barred off the kitchen and we took off. I wanted to be NOT HOME... it's easier not to eat when you're not home. We went to some stores and hung out at the mall and just drove around. Then about 11:30, we went home so that Jack could have lunch before preschool. We were so sneaky... we put Porter's shows on in my room and Jack watched with him on my bed while I made his lunch. Then I came in and watched with Porter while Jack went to the kitchen and ate. Then Spence came home and watched with him while I had lunch. Porter didn't know there was any food consuming going on... or he would have had a freak out. For this stealthiness, I was pretty proud. (Good, Al, you tricked a 2 year old!)
Then about 1:30 pm, Spence took Porter down to the hospital. I stayed behind to go to Jack's preschool performance. (why does everything happen on ONE day?!) After the show, I left Jack with Mimi and Ed and took off down to Primary Children's. They put Porter IN the MRI right as I was leaving and I got there just as they were pulling him out. So, he was in there for 35-45 minutes. (I had no idea that it takes so long! No wonder they had to put him under.) Oh, I hated seeing his limp little body in that nurse's arms... it tugged at my heart. He slept for another 90 minutes while Spence and I watched and waited.
When he finally woke, he was pretty out of it.
He spoke of Puppy Power and joked about having no pants on. He kept sitting up and bonking his head on the metal bars around his bed... then he'd laugh. It was all pretty silly. Spence kept saying, "he's a happy drunk." The nurses brought him a Coke and, after about 30 minutes, we took him home.
What a day! I'm a little relieved that it went so smoothly. And just think... we are that much closer to having this thing taken care of.

To which I responded with seconds and an icecream cone dessert...
after I kissed his face off!
There's a little tune that goes with it, too. He wrote it by himself and I have NO idea why or what it means exactly... But I love it!.jpg)
